The Hero Initiative and DC revealed they are partnering for The Superman 100 Project, a series of 100 covers by artists from across the industry. Those covers, which started as a a few blank cover variants for 2023’s Superman #6, will now be collected in the trade. Joining the covers is original art and behind the scenes details as some of the bonus material for the volume. Artists such as Alan Davis, Kevin Eastman, José Luis García-López, Dan Jurgens, Ed McGuinness, Frank Miller, Frank Quitely, and more are featured within the trade.
Hero Initiative president Jim McLauchlin spoke about the collect, stating:
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with DC to celebrate Superman and show fans what the character has meant to comics and the culture. The original comic book covers that will be published in The Superman 100 Project are truly impressive and sure to be a hit with fans and collectors.”
Starting in October, the original covers will be auctioned off by the Hero Initiative before the paperback releases on December 18. A hardback limited edition will also be available through Third Eye Comics in December as well.
