.Impossible Man, created by writer Stan Lee and writer/artist Jack Kirby, first appeared in Fantastic Four #11 (February 1963), possesses a unique physiology that’s allows him to, via molecular manipulation, take any form. He is able to mimic the properties of any object or humanoid being at will. He also can travel through hyperspace across different universes, psionically levitate himself, and survive in the vacuum of space by entering a low-metabolic state.
This latest variant cover program arrives to celebrate the history of the Fantastic Four during a monumental year for Marvel’s First Family. In addition to the release of Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated The Fantastic Four: First Steps film on July 25, the Fantastic Four are undergoing major developments in ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM, a new comic event that kicked off last month, that will lead into an all-new era by writer Ryan North and artist Humberto Ramos in Fantastic Four #1 this July.
