I FEEL DOOMED! Volume 1

An anthology of illustrated stories exploring how we break, rebuild, and keep going.

Current Funding: $11,846
Funding Goal: $7,500
Days Left: 21
Remember hope? Yeah… same. It’s time to face reality—with a little dark humor.
Enter I FEEL DOOMED, a new comics anthology that turns generational dread into creative release. Tackling everything from student loans and housing stress to climate anxiety and political exhaustion, the book captures what it feels like to live in a constant state of low-grade apocalypse—through the voices of artists who’ve traded doomscrolling for drawing.
The project is curated by Joseph Karg (Archer, Marvel Snap!, Dear Bernadette) and published through his imprint Soup Drunk Princess, bringing together students and seasoned professionals in a shared creative space. The result is something that feels equal parts anthology, emotional outlet, and late-night group chat about the end of the world—where art becomes a way to keep going when everything feels like it’s falling apart.
Across more than thirty stories, I Feel Doomed dives straight into the collective unease of a generation shaped by chaos. Themes range from creeping authoritarianism and climate fear to isolation, burnout, and the exhausting act of pretending everything’s fine. Each piece reshapes that anxiety into something strange, funny, unsettling, and deeply relatable—a snapshot of a generation coping with collapse through nervous laughter and too much caffeine.
The anthology features an impressive lineup of creators, including Miki Montlló (Wonder Woman/Harley Quinn), Thierry Martin (Le Roman de Renart), Claudio Acciari (The Prince of Egypt, The Road to El Dorado), Jonathan Edwards (Mufasa, Warner Bros.), Rustam Hasanov (Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon), Chris Bivins (Marvel Snap!, Stargirl), Danielle Corsetto (Girls With Slingshots), Dustin Harbin (Koyama Press, Dinos That Drive), June Brigman (Power Pack), Adam Ford (Rick and Morty, Star Trek: Lower Decks), Jake Reeves (Titmouse, Royal Crackers), and Claire Seckler, an emerging CalArts storyteller.

American Yakuza: THE FINALE! Acts 1-5

After all the fights, chases, injuries, deaths, fires, and turncoats, we’ve reached the FINALE of Volume One! Don’t miss this one!!

Current Funding: $3,923
Funding Goal: $ 3,500
Days Left:19

The final issue for Volume One of our gripping Japanese murder-mystery is here — and everything is on fire. (Literally and figuratively.)

From the shadows of neon-soaked streets to the bloodlines of old crime families, American Yakuza is a noir-infused murder mystery drenched in culture, betrayal, and brutal beauty. Created by Charlie McElvy, Anthony Stokes, and Chris Moses, and brought to life with stunning visual storytelling, this is a saga that’s equal parts Yakuza video game energy and prestige TV pacing.

Our story follows Xavier, a retired American MMA champion who arrives in Japan searching for answers about a friend’s death — and finds himself entangled in the deadly politics of a crumbling yakuza dynasty. Each act has pushed him deeper into the spider’s web, and now…well, something’s gotta give.

Act V is the finale. Murder after murder. Reveal after reveal. Fight after fight. Xavier finds himself more hunted than hunter and a recent betrayal has tipped the scale against him.

As we dive into this last issue — for now — questions abound!!
• What is Masashi really up to?
• What did Kyomi find under Kenji’s compound?
• What’s next for our trio?
• Will Xavier even survive this first volume…?

But don’t worry — we’re keeping this campaign description spoiler-free for newcomers. If you are new to the series, you can catch up with Acts I-IV (available as part of this campaign), and if you’ve been here since the beginning… you already know it’s about to get wild.

Welcome to the world of Gods Among Mena world that exists parallel to our own. Follow one man’s descent from the world of the legitimate into the underbelly of society, uncovering that these worlds are much closer than most are comfortable with. Since the release of the first issue, it has proven countless times in its accurate portrayal of the dark side of society.
In an attempt to save a failing businessJason Lee and the rest of the Rize Burger crew walk through the gateway into the world of the illicit. However, much to most peoples’ preconceptions, it isn’t the “get rich quick” scheme they had hoped it was. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
Gods Among Men is best imagined as the film Trainspotting but from the perspective of the dealer. Fans of true-crime, drama, social commentary, and even business and politics – this is the story for you. We are particularly appealing to readers who seek a more sophisticated and edgier comic book. Tonally, our series strives to balance levity with drama to convey a realistic sense of tone, leaning towards either side where appropriate.

THE SKIM: Part One Gangster Heist Comic

How do you rob a casino without robbing a casino? You go after…THE SKIM! Part one of Three for this gritty brutal heist comic

Current Funding: $2,649
Funding Goal: $687
Days Left: 17

THE SKIM is a three issue, grounded, cinematic crime drama set in Nevada, 1989, where a crew of small time criminals try to pull off the perfect score by stealing mob money that is already being stolen.

It is not a big loud, flashy Ocean’s Eleven style caper.
It is a tense, gritty thriller where every choice tightens the noose, and the desert has plenty of room to bury mistakes.

Paul Bianchi is stuck in a dead end life in Mercury, Nevada, with nothing ahead of him but heat, hangovers, and bad decisions.

So he pitches a question to his crew.

How do you rob a casino without robbing a casino?

Instead of walking onto the gaming floor and getting turned into a missing person, Paul targets something most people never even hear about.
The skim, mob money quietly siphoned out of a Vegas casino every month, carried off the books, and driven into the desert like clockwork.

It is a simple plan on paper.
A courier. A case. A lonely stretch of road outside the Strip.

Then the job gets personal.

And once the skim is hit, the house does not just want its money back. It wants to know who dared to touch it.

THE SKIM is a story about fate, blood, loyalty, and the lie of escape.
Because in this game, the house always wins.

100 FAQ On Making Comics

Know the Basics. Avoid the Blunders.

Current Funding: $7,887
Funding Goal: $5,000
Days Left: 14
‘m Shelly Bond and I’ve been reading, editing, and making comics since 1987. So I’ve learned a thing or two. I’ve edited over 25,000 comic book pages for behemoths like DC/Vertigo from 1992-2016, working with legends like Grant Morrison on The Invisibles, Michael Allred on iZombie, and David Lapham on Young Liars. I created and curated Black Crown for IDW, which celebrated the music & comics connection. Most recently, I finished my magnum opus, a graphic memoir editing trilogy that was published through offregister.press — a comics & design lab I run with my husband, artist Philip Bond, for our personal work. I also teach Comics Editing at Portland State University.
I offer you the answers to the top 100 Questions that have been hurled at me over three decades by curious convention-goers, pro colleagues who want to add writing to their repertoire, or creatives from other industries who scream at me, while holding a blowtorch, to reveal the “magick formula” to making comics.

The book explores how autistic brains function, how masking works, special interests, sensory input, nonverbal communication, overwhelm, burnout, and so much more—all with whimsy, humor, and respect for readers.

It also includes external resource guides, a handy glossary, and even interactive portions to help readers explore their own experience, including relationship charts, shame-busting worksheets, brain archetype visual aids, and more.

Growing Up on The Spectrum is an essential and enjoyable resource for everybody!

Growing Up on the Spectrum…
? Uses whimsy, humor, lived experience, and clear explanations to make autism feel human, accessible, and less intimidating.
? Celebrates special interests, sensory experiences, communication styles, and the beautiful diversity of autistic brains.
? Is designed as a compassionate guide for autistic folks and for the people in their lives who want to understand them better.
