In the wake of Blood Hunt #4 and Vengeance of the Moon Knight #6, Marvel revealed that Marc Spector is returning with a new series in October. Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu will take the place of the currently running Vengeance of the Moon Knight, which itself supplanted the original Moon Knight title after Spector’s death. A special #0 issue is set for a July release, written by series scribe Jed MacKay and illustrated by regular artist Alessandro Cappuccio. The duo then continues their story in the series later this year, with a full costume refresh for Spector, also designed by Cappuccio.
In the press release, MacKay discussed Marc and Khonshu’s return, stating:
“The father, freed. The son, returned. Marc Spector, Jake Lockley and Stephen Grant hit the streets once more as Moon Knight, and he’s making up for lost time. The streets have changed since Moon Knight died, and I’m excited to explore how he deals with all-new threats to his territory along with fellow Midnight Missionaries Alessandro Cappucio, Rachelle Rosenberg and Devmalya Pramanik! MOON KNIGHT: FIST OF KHONSHU #1 marks the 40th issue of our time with Moon Knight- and we’ve got plenty more that we’re looking forward to sharing with you!”
E.M. Gist’s cover for the zero issue was also revealed alongside the cover for issue #1 by Davide Paratore. Marvel also shared a look at the updated Moon Knight costume, all of which can be seen below.
