Al Ewing and artist Iban Coello have pitted father and son against one another after Eddie and Dylan Brock have seen cataclysmic visions of the future.
The natural conclusion both have reached is there can only be one Venom left standing in a conflict that will spill out into the wider Marvel universe and rope in the other symbiotes.
A master at planning out epic storylines, Ewing has been laying the foundation for VENOM WAR since the very beginning of his current run of VENOM. Limitless in scope, the series has followed Eddie Brock and his son, Dylan, on separate journeys as the symbiote heroes. But after both have terrifying glimpses of the future, they realize only one of them can be Venom.
Their father and son feud is now the Marvel Universe’s problem as past and present symbiote characters alike are forced to take a side!
Fan-favorite DEADPOOL scribe CULLEN BUNN is back for more mercenary mayhem as the symbiote madness continues this week in our Exclusive Preview of Venom War: Deadpool #1

The schism between the Brocks is front and center in Marvel’s current event, Venom War. Father and son fight for ownership of Venom after the apocalyptic visions of doom due to the other. Battlelines have been drawn across the former and current wielders of the symbiotes on earth. Born out of the temporal run from Al Ewing, past, present, and future collide as Dylan Brock’s future self is working to alter history by going back to the earliest days of Spider-Man.

Venom War: Wolverine #2
When Wolverine said he was the best there is, he didn’t mean the best tasting… but that’s not gonna stop zombiotes from trying to take a bite out of him! Plus: There are other, less healing-factor-brandishing people in danger, and Logan is not going to let that stand.
