Tom Holland has arguably given the most well rounded and comic-accurate Spider-Man to date. Now, the MCU star wants to face one of the most notorious villains in comic history, Venom!
Speaking at Ace Comic-Con in Seattle, Tom Holland was asked by a fan which Spider-Man villain he would eventually like to see join the insanely popular Marvel Cinematic Universe. He may have only given two words for an answer, but it set every fan’s imagination loose!
“Maybe Venom?”
The villain is currently set to be featured in his first solo film starring the fan favorite Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom. Although there have been rumors that Holland himself would make a cameo appearance in the Venom film, it is currently being considered as a standalone universe that won’t crossover with the MCU.
Sony’s plans go well beyond Venom as well. It seems they may be attempting to attract a more an adult audience, having started development on films like Silver and Black, Morbius, the Living Vampire, Nightwatch, and the newly announced Silk movie!
