DC revealed a series of new initiatives and titles during the “Jim Lee & Friends” panel at New York Comic Con. The biggest announcement was that the Vertigo imprint will return as DC’s presence in the creator-owned market. The first title to be published under the new logo is James Tynion IV and A?lvaro Marti?nez Bueno’s The Nice House by the Sea.
Additionally, it was also confirmed that Lee will illustrate a sequel to Batman: Hush in the flagship title in 2025. Original Hush writer Jeph Loeb is also returning and the prelude to the story will be a back-up in the upcoming Justice League Unlimited #1.
Also revealed was a tie-in miniseries to the Peacemaker TV series, Peacemaker Presents: The Vigilante/Eagly Double Feature!. The five issue miniseries offers two stories from Tim Seeley and Mitch Gerads, and Rex Ogle and Matteo Lolli respectively. It is set to bridge the time between seasons of the show and features James Gunn as a story consultant.
Finally, it was announced that DC and Legendary are producing a second volume of Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong. Writer Brian Buccellato and artist Christian Duce both return to tell more stories of the DC Heroes battling the Titans of the Legendary Monsterverse, featuring kaijus like Ghidorah, Rodan, and Mothra this time around.
