VOID RIVALS #1 Goes to Second Printing With Transformers Themed Covers

Skybound announced that Void Rivals #1, the newest series from the publisher, has sold out at the distributor level on day one. A second printing of the series, from writer Robert Kirkman with art by Lorenzo De Felici, colors from Matheus Lopes, and letters by Rus Wooton will hit shelves just as issue #2 released in July. This news comes right off the heels of Skybound revealing the series establishes the Energon Universe, built around Transformers and G.I. Joe.  

Sean Mackiewicz, Skybound’s SVP, Publisher discussed the reprinting and its connection to the shared universe: 

“We’ve kept this secret hidden in plain sight for so long, it’s thrilling to see the reception to Void Rivals #1. We couldn’t be more excited to share the Energon Universe with readers and build a surprising new chapter with Hasbro’s greatest characters.” 

Now that reveal is out, the second printing of Void Rivals #1 will feature new covers spotlighting Jetfire, the iconic Transformer from the issue. Jason Mason and Marz Jr will provide the art for these variants, and both will be available in July.
