Wonder Woman Run Series calling on all Superheroes
SON Events, LCC announced this fall will launch the inaugural Wonder Woman Run Series in partnership with Warner Bros and DC Entertainment. Maryellen Zarakas, senior vice president of franchise management and marketing for Warner Bros said “We’re thrilled to bring a new and inspiring Wonder Woman experience to our fans. Together with the team behind the DC Wonder Woman Run Series, we are excited to give fans the ultimate Super Hero event experience.”
The start of the event will include an expo where participants will collect their race packets, Bib numbers and will be able to purchase exclusive wonder woman merchandise. During Race day the event will offer music, entertainment during each section of the run. Mark Knutson of SON Events LLC says, “Wonder Woman is one of the most iconic and well-loved Super Heroes of all time. We’re excited to give fans a new and unique event by providing an inviting, fun, and empowering experience where people can enjoy a great course, and bond with other fans while being active.”
The events that are currently scheduled:
Sacramento: 5:30 p.m. start on September 22 at the Capitol Mall
Oakland: 5 p.m. start on October 13 at Oakland City Hall
Los Angeles: 7:30 and 8 a.m. starts on November 4 at LA Live
San Jose: Details TBD
San Diego: Details TBD
All races will include a 5K or a 10k. Registration fee is 59-69 for 5k and 79-89 for the 10k. All participates will get a finishers medal.
