DC Comics have controversially publically taken a stand on the issue of refugees on world Refugee Day today . A very current and political hot potato issue currently in news at this time.
DC Comics posted this on their Facebook page a few hours ago and its received a fair amount of reaction including over 1500 shares using their most iconic refugee The Man of Steel himself!
The reaction has been mixed from people accusing DC of using the platform of comics to take cheap political shots to people complaining that politics has no place in comics or visa versa and also people welcoming and supporting the move.
On Today World Refugee Day DC has highlighted a large ( recent local us controversy notwithstanding ) worldwide issue which the world at large generally ignores or pretends does not exist. Organisations like The International Rescue Committee work and Campaign tirelessly to highlight the plight of Refugees worldwide.
Comic-Watch would like to at this time voice our support of DC Comics position on this issue and add our voice in saying that as an association we 100% and without reservation support the #StandWithRefugees initiative and the work of the International Rescue Committee today on the World Refugee Day 2018!
