Alien Books and Valiant Comics are proud to be teaming up once again to release a special anthology hardcover starring the pillar of the Valiant Comics franchise: X-O MANOWAR, debuting first on Kickstarter.
The crowdfunding campaign for the X-O MANOWAR: BLACK, WHITE & GOLD Hardcover Anthology, featuring all-new stories set in every era of Valiant Comics history, launched last week during New York Comic Con. The final crowdfunding project from Alien Books to debut in 2025 is 335% funded with only 14 days left remaining.
The stories included in the anthology will follow Aric of Dacia, a Visigoth warrior with a code of honor, who was abducted by aliens and returned to Earth with the Shanhara armor, the most powerful weapon in the universe. Aric finds that the Earth he returns to is very different from the one he left as over 2000 years have passed him by and he now struggles to find his place in this strange and unfamiliar world. This anthology will explore different eras of Aric’s past, present, and future from an assortment of perennial favorites and up-and-coming comics talent, all told in black, white and gold colors.
Backers can choose from exclusive rewards including digital PDFs, an original sketch by artist Damian Connelly, and the NYCC-exclusive foil variant of VALIANT BEYOND: THE X-O MANOWAR #1, while supplies last.
The 112-page hardcover (page count subject to change depending on stretch goal progress), will include the following stories and creators:
