Detective Comics #1017
Detective Comics #1017 (Taylor, Blanco, Kalisz) In an age where every conflict is near universal, it’s always refreshing to have something small-scale.

DetailsDoctor Mirage #5
Doctor Mirage #5 (Visaggio, Robles, Bellaire, Sharpe): The final issue in the miniseries proves to be quite the shocker with a revelation that will fundamentally shift the character, bringing about a new direction that is ripe with storytelling potential.
DetailsThe Weather Wizard makes his presence known in Flash #84 (Williamson, Duce, Guerrero) as “Rogues’ Reign” continues! But will he betray King Cold? Or is Cold the one who betrayed the Rogues’ code?
DetailsFallen Angels #4
With even the grandest of intentions, Fallen Angels #4 (Hill, Kudranski, D’Armata, Sabino) struggles to overcome particularly weak visuals as it expands on the origins and motivations of Apoth and what that means for the future of Psylocke.
DetailsFrom Al Hartley to Tom King, Archie, Batman, Spider-Man, the X-Men, Andy Capp, a comic has to get to a point eventually or the diminishing returns and lack of believable consequence make us shut off.
DetailsDoomsday Clock #12
The wait is over and Doomsday Clock #12 (Johns, Frank, Sinclair, Leigh) is available today. SPOILERS AHEAD for an event that will surely go down as one of the most well-crafted superhero events in the history of comics.

DetailsThe following is a list of genre shows that have been canceled since January 1, 2019. No doubt you will already be aware of some but you might also find some surprises! Also…some interesting new series premiering between now and the end of the first quarter of 2020.
DetailsHarley Quinn: Villain of the Year #1
Harley Quinn: Villain of the Year #1 (Russell, Norton, Hi-Fi, Sharpe) has a few redeeming qualities, but not enough to make it a worthwhile issue in the event’s already overloaded lineup.
DetailsPenny Dreadful
“Penny Dreadful” is somehow as good, or greater, than the sum of its parts – even though those parts include several of the greatest works of fiction ever written – aided by a killer cast, tonnes of moody atmosphere, and John Logan’s Sorkin-esque approach to scripting (with sole writing credit throughout most of the series), bringing everything together into a cohesive whole with its own unique voice and perspective. “Penny Dreadful” is one of the greatest (most underrated) shows of the 21st century.
DetailsFallen Angels #3
Fallen Angels #3 loses much of the momentum gained from prior issues at it sets up Apoth for a much larger confrontation in an action-oriented narrative.
DetailsDeathbringer #1
Deathbringer #1 (Quinn, Peeples, Prianto) wasn’t my favorite of the introductory one-shots, but with decent art and good writing, it was still an enjoyable experience.
