Marvelous X-Men #4

With the combination of a fascinating premise, innovative art and perfect pacing, these creators deliver the penultimate issue of Marvel’s most ambitious series. I have never loathed an X-Man villain as much as I despise Nate Grey. That, in itself, is a remarkable achievement.

Amazing Nightcrawler #4: Flatscan Zombie Beach Party

Comic Book Reviews, MarvelBy Bethany W PopeMay 29, 2019Leave a comment

Amazing Nightcrawler #4

This is the well-written, funny, occasionally touching penultimate issue of a wonderful series. There’s a little, inadvertant, insensitivity to adopted families (and an odd focus on the importance of genetic family) but aside from that this book is well worth picking up.

Fallen World #1: End of the World As We Know It

Comic Book Reviews, Valiant EntertainmentBy Kenneth BowdenMay 23, 2019Leave a comment

Fallen World #1

Bottom line is Valiant has been killing it on all fronts in 2019 so far and this is just another huge check in the #winning category. If this issue is any indication the only downside here is knowing this series is only 5 issues.

DAREDEVIL #5: KNOW FEAR (pt. 5)

Comic Book Reviews, MarvelBy Adrian CareMay 18, 2019Leave a comment

DAREDEVIL #5

Superhero thrills and action in the mighty Marvel manner. It’s starting to be all too much for the man without fear. But damn it makes for a gripping read.
