DetailsThis is one of those weeks that doesn’t really sum up neatly. We’ve got a little bit of everything this week, so fans of any genre should be able to find something to watch!
DetailsFoundation
It is ambitious to take a book serious that is so prolific and complex and try to make it an understandable and interesting television series. The otherworldly visuals are stunning, with some truly beautiful imagery.
DetailsHarley Quinn
Loaded with nonstop (adult) humor and self-deprecating jokes, Harley Quinn knocks it out of the park. Watch the first two seasons on HBO Max NOW! #HarleyQuinn @dcharleyquinn @justin_halpern @PMSchumacker
DetailsWell, after a year and a half with very few new movies, this summer saw a lot of theatrical blockbusters, and now they’re all starting to hit home video at the same time. We also have some popular and cult classic TV shows hitting the shelves this week, so there’s definitely something for everyone!
DetailsY: The Last Man
The world, of late, is a troubled place and I want to believe that if a global catastrophe occurred, the remaining human race would step up and fill the void left by those who died. But this show holds up a mirror to what would probably really happen.
DetailsWhat If…?
Michael did a wonderful job recreating his roll. You can still feel in his voice the very need to avenge his fathers death and free his people from suppression.
DetailsIt’s not the biggest week ever, but there are some real standout releases this week, including 4K releases of some incredibly popular films, a complete series box set for a hit TV series, and even a couple of cowardly dogs solving mysteries! Read on!
DetailsWhat If…?
The What If… series allows the show to dip into many different genres. Captain Carter is a 1940s serial, the Dr. Strange episode was a tragic love story, and now we can add “classic horror” to the list, and it is done quite well.
DetailsIt’s not a huge week this week, but there are some huge releases, spearheaded by the much talked-about Zack Snyder cut of Justice League. I have… a few thoughts about it. And all the other releases this week!
DetailsWhat If…?
The emotions in the episode are powerful and you feel for the main character as he tries to deal with his grief. The show makes us address tragedy and how we deal with loss. We end up asking ourselves, what would we do to bring back the ones we love or undo our saddest, most tragic moments.
