What You Should Know:

Last time, Fitz arrived in the future and helped the Agents temporarily escape the Kree but not without pausing in the heat of battle to get a kiss and a proposal from Jemma. And a blue skinned Enoch headed to the Surface to help Agent May.

What You’ll Find Out:

(SPOILERS AHEAD!) As Fitz gets Jemma and Quake (Destroyer of Worlds) to safety, the first thing Jemma wants is ratty scavenger clothes. It’s no wonder then that her ear thingy goes off causing great pain…so much so that Fitz has to grab some pronged instrument and shove it in her ear and pull the thing out. Then they’re off to Fitz’s escape ship only to see it out a portal exploding.

Grill, Ben and Tess are still dead. Kasius and Sinara are not. Kasius, who was clearly, albeit quickly, shown to have Jemma’s knife at his throat last week has come out of it with a cut to his cheek. Go figure. While we didn’t see Fitz’s bullet hit Sinara, he was a deadshot on the other Kree so how’d he miss Sinara completely? She stands with no visible sign of getting hit at all. Maybe Fitz shouldn’t have taken that smooch break with Jemma after all.

Kasius sends his Freaky Blue Bitch Sinara after the escapees but his brother, Faulnak, wants his boy Maston-Dar on the hunt as well.
Coulson and Mack realize time is running out and the Kree will soon find them. Mohawk haired Maston-Dar is quickly catching up with Fitz and the others.

An injured Agent May is about to become dinner for a Vrellnexian when Enoch shows up and saves her. His complexion turns from blue to tan and May recognizes his voice from the kidnapping and tries to attack him. He warns her of a gravity storm coming in. Then a masked figure with a grappling claw shows up.

Coulson, Mack and Yo-Yo decide they have to get out of the Lighthouse. Flint is told what happened to Tess. Kasius shows off his collection of Earth firearms to his brother. They argue about a battle Kasius was in charge of where many Kree were lost.

Elsewhere, Fitz, Jemma and Quake (Destroyer of Worlds) come upon a chamber housing life support equipment. They discover the artificial gravity on the Lighthouse is being maintained by Gravitonium, which the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. first encountered on Earth in Season 1. Mohawk-Dar arrives on the scene and Fitz is shot in the abdomen. The three manage to give the Kree the slip but then encounter the helmeted figure with light up eyes from the Season Premier. They nab him and remove the helmet to find the scavenger-rogue Deke who has escaped the room Coulson locked him in. Their only hope is to trust Deke as Maston-Dar is almost on them again.

While his friends (unbeknownst to him) are fighting for their lives, Mack has a heart to heart with Flint who isn’t taking the death of Tess too well. Deke and Sky-Daisy along with Coulson and Yo-Yo all merge with Mack and Flint.

Flint sneaks off to confront the Kree who has been hunting him. Using his abilities, Flint kills the alien but in turn is knocked out by Sinara. The Agents arrive in time to save the kid just as Mohawk-Dar joins the fray. The team meet up with Fitz and Jemma in a room. Daisy says they only have minutes before Mr and Mrs Boba Fett catch up. Coulson decides they should use a trawler to escape to the Surface where the Kree won’t follow. As the Fetts are about to break into the room, their quarry uses an anti-gravity device to get out through a chute. Once they’ve blasted into the room, Sinara uses her death spheres to eliminate Faulnak’s mohawk warrior.

As the Agents scramble to decide who can fly the trawler, Flint tells them he is staying behind to help the people on the Lighthouse. Abandoning reason (and so the writers can keep the conflict going) Mack and Yo-Yo say they’re staying to help Flint. Fitz tells them that while he was in the past he hid some S.H.I.E.L.D. tech on Level 3–the level crawling with Vrellnexians. Coulson takes the drviver’s seat on the trawler with the tired over-used line “How hard can it be?”

Sinara returns to the brothers and tells Faulnak she killed Maston-Dar. Faulnak proposes she take his place. This doesn’t sit well with Kasius who is tremendously fond of Sinara. So he does what any brother would do and rams a bayonet through Faulnak’s back. As Faulnak lies dying, Kasius gloats then plunges the bayonet into his brother’s chest. OK, looks like this one is really, truly dead.

The trawler was pretty hard to fly after all and Coulson crashes the ship on the Surface. May and Enoch meet the people with the grappling claws who just saved them from the gravity storm. One of the people, an older woman, says “I’ve waited so long to see you again” and holds out a wooden bird in her hand.

What This Means For The Future:

Fitz steps out of the shower and Jemma realizes the season has all been a dream! That might actually be for the best if it happened. With Fitz and Jemma now engaged and this being a Joss Whedon show, chances are one of them will die. Whedon once said in an interview that happy couples are boring.

Final Thought: Enoch is very reminiscent of The Recorder from Rigel in the Colonizers story line in the Thor Comic. It would’ve been so much cooler if the writers had used this material they have at their disposal instead of insisting on making up stuff. Also, having the Kree like to use the “weapons of their enemies” is just plain lame and an excuse to cover they have a small spfx budget.
