Comic Watch’s Kickstarter Korner for December 10, 2022

Welcome to Comic Watch’s Kickstarter Korner!

It’s that time when we spotlight some projects that we hope you will support and help spread the word about these great indie titles and don’t forget to check out our previous posts to see if some of those campaigns are still running:

CASA DEL DIABLO

And for his 25th Anniversary in 2023 we also have two new editions of DAZE OF THE DEAD and EL MUERTO ORIGINS!

Diego de La Muerte is making his way across the La Rumorosa highway in Baja Mexico when he encounters Dolores Tremosa, a young woman whose infant son has been abducted. The trail leads to a decrepit Spanish hacienda and a most dangerous foe… La Doña Macaria la Dolente! All hell breaks loose as Diego and Dolores must save the baby, and themselves, from this demonic menace. And things only get more harrowing with the sudden appearance of one of the dreaded Tzitzimimeh.. an Aztec star demon!

Faust: Love of the Damned Omnibus Hardcover

The legendary masterwork of “outlaw comics.” Never before collected in one oversize hardcover.

A man seduced by power plunges into an underground urban hell dominated by madness and the mystical. Haunted by tortured love, he rages through primal hallucinations in a blood-drenched nightmare of attraction and repulsion, sex and death, revenge and reclamation. In 1987, the legendary creative team of David Quinn and Tim Vigil led two historic comics evolutions: comics for adults and independent creator-owned publishing – influences of Faust: Love of the Damned reverberate across comics and media today. Now the wait is over: The infamous masterwork of “outlaw comics,” collected in one oversize volume, signed by the creators.

Lovebites: Graphic Novel

An irreverent post-apocalyptic story about four kids trying not to be killed by zombies or each other.

Lovebites is an amalgamation of all my favorite genres and media combined. I made it because it was the kind of story I wanted to read myself. I wanted to make a story that was equal parts heartwarming and horrific, with elements of levity and humor without being a parody or mockery of the genre of apocalyptic stories. Lovebites explores often deeply flawed, nuanced characters and their complex relationships with themselves and with each other.

That’s a wrap for this week from us, but if you are running Kickstarter and would like to be put in the Korner, drop us a line at micheal@comic-watch.com or chad@comic-watch.com, and we will take a look when we put together next week’s post.
