Comic Watch’s Kickstarter Korner for December 3, 2022

Welcome to Comic Watch’s Kickstarter Korner!

It’s that time when we spotlight some projects that we hope you will support and help spread the word about these great indie titles and don’t forget to check out our previous posts to see if some of those campaigns are still running:

Sherlock Holmes: A Study in Scarlet

Presenting a beautiful, lushly illustrated new edition of Arthur Conan Doyle’s first Sherlock Holmes novel.

Sherlock Holmes, the world’s greatest detective, first appeared in the 1887 novel “A Study in Scarlet,” which met very little fanfare until the character found more widespread popularity through his serialized short stories in The Strand Magazine. That first adventure recounts the first meeting of Holmes and the man who would become his stalwart partner against crime, Dr. John Watson. And now, that first sprawling adventure is vividly retold through the animated vision of illustrator Vincent Mallie.

Luna #1 “The Awakening” Part 1 of 6

Thousands of years into our future, a Queen discovers she is the only one who can save her world from an evil threat.

It is the year 10000. Humans have migrated to other worlds. The Heroes of Old Earth are long gone. Still, the Universe has birthed a new generation of superhumans, who are known as Energy Keepers. The Energy Keepers, along with the people of Planet Djoria, maintain the order, peace, and balance of all life. Our story takes place on Planet Mahru, the home of millions of humans united under the rulership of Queen Luna. After a visit from a stranger from the future, Queen Luna discovers that she too is an Energy Keeper and that she is the only one who can save her world from a threat that can destroy all that she loves.

The Other Badguys

The first volume of the hit webcomic.

The Other Badguys is a superhero comedy heist comic with a cast of characters supremely out of their depth. Dealing with daddy issues, bad breakups, decades-old grudges, and profound professional inadequacies, the whole endeavor is pretty much a foregone conclusion. Badguys never win: There are rules, after all.
