Oakie the oak tree goes on an adventure to find help. But when Oakie speaks, would-be friends become confused. The problem is that Oakie speaks “Tree,” a fun visual language that no one understands. That all changes when Oakie meets Art, an elementary student with a crayon in hand and a plan in mind to inspire the world. What makes this series so special is that it has nearly no words. Its comic book visuals empower readers to make up the story for themselves. This format amplifies the story’s message of speaking up for the environment through our actions.

Legend says that an evil dark entity’s soul, Gerard, was sealed by the light entity, Lydia, in a stone governed by two swords: the Light Sword and the Dark Sword. Sakura believed the legend to be a total myth until her childhood friend, Hideki, returns to their hometown. Her life turns upside-down when she learns that she & other kids hold Lydia’s elemental powers, with Hideki bearing a key item: the Light Sword. Reluctantly, they all set out on an adventure to understand how they are connected to the legend while uncovering secrets and revealing traumas from the past.
