First Watch: Comics Creator’s Coffers Clipped of Cash

December 30th, 2017 legendary comic creator Stan Lee filed a report saying $300,000 had been stolen from his account. A check was later found written out to Hands of Respect LLC, which is a charity run by Lee that makes lapel pins designed to promote equality and solidarity. You can watch a brief video describing the company here, starring the True Believer himself.
Hands of Respect Call out and Message from Stan Lee

Lee is insistent he didn’t write the check, which is marked as a loan, and claims it’s a forgery, just one day after his 95th birthday no less. It almost goes without saying that the number of people who have access to Lee’s checkbook is pretty small, and the number of people who also have the account info for Hands of Respect is even smaller.
