SUMMER EVENT: X-MEN PITCH WEEK 3 (PW3) KICKOFF

Welcome to PW3. “We’re Baaack.” We’re in a new home thanks to Comic Watch but you’re going to get the same X-men/Pitch goodness as you received for Pitch Weeks One and Two. Without further ado, let’s get into the goodness … or badness as you’ll see from our theme this year. WHAT IF the current X-books you read ended. What if in an alternate universe eight completely different books were to be published?

THEME: So what’s the deal with PW3? We’ve had 10 X-books pitched since this began so this time, the villains get the spotlight. For your entertainment, Comic Watch, Mah Muse, and collaborators will present eight new villain-themed books with eight new teams of X-men Villains. Some stories maintain their evil goals, while some stories are about second chances and redemption. Then, on Friday 13th, you the audience, get to vote on your favorite.

To make things interesting (difficult), each contributor offered the name of a wildcard character that was then passed onto another contributor to use in their pitch. Our Judges will take into consideration this character and how they were used. This will not make or break a pitch.

Deliverables

Anything Else Goes

Our contributors can be as creative as they want. YOU the audience are free to ask each of the authors and artists questions in the comments and discuss the pitches. Because of the higher volume of pitchers this year, two pitches will be posted each day for the next four days. If you don’t see the pitch on your favorite X-men/comics group on Facebook, post it. The pitchers will love you long time.

Friday we’ll put up a poll for YOU THE READERS, to tell us whose Pitch you liked. You’ll have until the following week to vote, and then three judges will review the best bits from all the pitches.

Our contributors are:

Monday 9th: Mike VW with “Grave of Oblivion.” and Matt Skipworth with “Sisterhood

Tuesday 10th: Loz Cook with “X-Calibre.” and Marius Niederas with “Mystery Pitch.”

Wednesday 11th: Maxime Garbarini with “Mutant Empire.” and Charlie Wylie and Daniel Beavers with “Unrepentant.”

Thursday 12th: Tom Bacon with “X-Men: Secret Genesis,” and Tyler Ouellette and Michael Brower with “End Game.”

Friday 13th: VOTING BEGINS

Mike and Matt,  are up tomorrow with their pitches, so make sure to check in. And then every day till Friday for the others. Come along and see if we’ve included your favorite characters … You know, those ones that you feel have needed a spotlight for a while

Check out your favorite X-Men groups on Facebook or back here tomorrow for all the fun!
